Reader’s Question:

I’m looking for car insurance with SR22 here in Georgia because I had many traffic violations in just a short period. I need to get low car insurance rates for my SR22 so how can I get that?

Drivers in Georgia who are required to purchase SR22 insurance will have to prepare themselves for the high charges that go with it. The truth is SR22 insurance rates are more costly as compared to other kinds of vehicle insurance. Getting cheap vehicle insurance with SR22 is quite difficult if you approach an ordinary car insurance company. To get really affordable SR22 insurance, just go to an SR22 car insurance provider instead and a good place to hunt for affordable vehicle insurance with SR22 is in the Internet.

As a backgrounder, SR22 insurance is a requirement among drivers charged for major traffic infractions like reckless driving and driving under the influence. SR22 insurance is given to those drivers that car insurance companies regard as high risk and because of that, they are given really high rates.

Not all car insurance firms give SR22 insurance and those that do are charging very costly SR22 insurance rates. But drivers can still get cheap vehicle insurance with SR22. They can approach a specialized SR22 insurer as this is the type of insurance provider that gives low SR22 insurance rates. It also helps if a driver has a good credit standing since it can give them discounted premiums on SR22 insurance.

Another good way of shopping for cheap SR22 insurance is to go online. There are tons of websites offering discounted SR22 insurance quotes and drivers can request, compare, and purchase SR22 insurance quotes through these websites.

Reader’s Question:

I have a 26-year-old, married son who is separated from her wife. On she called their car insurance provider and left a message to remove him from their car insurance policy. We would like to lend him one of our cars (which are fully insured) to drive until he gets a new vehicle and insurance (which will probably be within the next 4 days). If we do this, is he covered here in Georgia?

Basically, you will want to contact your insurance provider in Georgia to verify if she will be covered for just a couple days without listing him as a motorist to your insurance policy. With that being stated, if your son is going to be driving your cars and he is residing in your household, you will need to add him on your policy as a motorist. If he does not reside with you, but he uses your cars on any kind of regular basis, you will probably need to add him to your policy as a motorist. If one of your cars remains at your son’s residence, and his residence differs from yours, you will need to let your insurance provider know; because, they may have an issue with cars that stay at multiple residences.
